XCMG Indonesia's new energy manufacturing base is put into operation, promoting overseas localization production layout
In July 2026, XCMG Indonesia's new energy manufacturing base was officially put into operation, and the first batch of new energy engineering machinery and equipment were completed offline and delivered locally to XCMG Group. The base is located in the Widabe Industrial Park in Indonesia, integrating multiple functions such as complete machine assembly, local working condition adaptation research and development, localized spare parts and service guarantee. It is XCMG's first overseas production factory positioned in the new energy direction.
The base's products are mainly targeted at local mining, park infrastructure, logistics operations and other application scenarios in Indonesia. They can complete the localized manufacturing of new energy equipment such as electric loaders and shorten the equipment delivery cycle. At the same time, the factory synchronously plans the operation and maintenance of second-hand equipment, as well as the remanufacturing of parts related businesses, to enhance the level of industrial resource recycling. In terms of personnel allocation, local employees account for nearly 80% of the base, driving the coordinated development of local employment and supporting industries.
In recent years, XCMG has continued to promote its global layout. In addition to building production bases, it has also improved its overseas spare parts warehouse, technical training, and after-sales operation and maintenance network, and made product adaptation adjustments for working conditions such as high temperature, high humidity, and heavy mining in Southeast Asia. Relying on the complete domestic industrial chain, export new energy complete machines and supporting charging operation and maintenance solutions to overseas markets together.
From an industry perspective, the overseas layout of domestic construction machinery enterprises has shifted from simply exporting products to a comprehensive model of factory research and development, local production, and local services. The landing of XCMG's Indonesian base also provides practical reference for domestic construction machinery enterprises to carry out localized operation of new energy equipment in Southeast Asia. The subsequent base will gradually expand production capacity and product categories based on regional market orders, and continue to serve the construction of engineering projects in Southeast Asia.
